Persona & voice
The Persona tab is where you shape how your agent sounds and behaves. It's one system prompt plus a voice — that's it.
Auto-generated from your site
When you create a widget, Seny crawls your site and auto-generates a starting persona based on what it finds — business name, tone of the homepage, available products or services, and the pages the agent should know about. You can keep it, tweak it, or replace it entirely.
Writing a good persona prompt
A strong prompt answers four questions in plain English:
- Who are you?— "You are Sam, the virtual catering concierge for Northwind Catering."
- What do you help with?— "Help visitors browse the menu, get quotes for events, and book a tasting."
- What's your tone?— "Warm, a little playful, never pushy. One or two sentences at a time."
- When should you hand off?— "If someone wants a human, point them to /contact or offer to take their details."
Voices
Seny ships with ten voices under the hood — four male, four female, two neutral. Each has a distinct character, from bright and energetic to calm and professional. Click the play button next to any voice to hear a live sample spoken with your current persona.
You can reference the voice in the persona prompt too — e.g. "speak with a slight British accent" or "sound excited when visitors ask about our specials" — and the model will carry that through audibly.
Suggested prompts
The intro panel shows a few "quick start" questions to give visitors an easy way in. These are also auto-generated from your crawled content on first run. To edit them, head to the Persona tab's Suggested prompts section and type your own.
Good suggested prompts are specific to your business: "What time do you open tomorrow?", "Do you cater for 50 people?", "Show me your event packages."
Changing persona mid-conversation
Persona is set at the start of each session. Updating the prompt in the dashboard takes effect immediately for all new conversations — no redeploy needed.
